MARIA (CHRISTIANE) THALLER

Maria “Christiane” Thaller passed away peacefully at the age of 76, with her husband and son beside her. She was born in Hamburg, Germany on June 24, 1949, and died in Winnipeg, Manitoba, on March 7, 2026. Christiane arrived in Canada with her parents on April 8,1952. She is predeceased by her parents, Dr. Karl Krueger and Eva Ullmann. Christiane is survived by her husband, Manfred, son Werner, brothers Stephan and Ralph, sisters Evelyn and Birgit, and their families.

She enjoyed singing in the German Choir of Winnipeg for 35 years, as well as watching sports. Her favourite music was Andre Rieu and the Johann Strauss Orchestra. In her younger years, she enjoyed going to her cabin at Star Lake, Manitoba, and growing up in Steinbach, Manitoba. She also enjoyed doing some latch hooking. She loved spending time with family and close friends.

Thank you to the staff at Concordia and Grace Hospitals over the last year for their hard work.

Cremation is taking place. There will be a memorial service and reception this summer.
